RPG: Role Playing Game. It is where you join as a character and then write about there lives as if you are playing them in a game.
OOC: Out of character. When you are posting in an IC board about sometihng that your character is not doing or saying.
IC: In character. When you are posting in character.
BIC: Back in character. When you go from typing IC to OOC and then to IC again.
Realms: Way back when, the creatures of this earth lived in harmony. The dragons with the faeries with the elves with the humans. One day disaster struck as the creatures begin blaming the others for their troubles. One mixed group of leaders, consisting of all species, decided to seperate the creatures to keep the peace into little worlds called realms. The realms are different lands that hold many different creatures. Along the line the legend was lost and each realm believes that theirs was and is the only world in the history of time. Rebels and Rogues are beginning to take over the gates and are growing stronger. There will be a time soon when one creature will enter a realm other than it's own.
Gates: The Gates are portals into the other Realms. They are each gaurded carefully by a Gatekeeper. Each has it's own codes and passwords and barriers that one must overcome before they can pass through to another Realm. Every Caretaker and Gatekeeper knows special passwords to each Gate known as the Gatekey. If you sign up as either types of characters, you will be given those passwords.
Rebels and Rogues: Those who have turned away from the leaders of their Realm and have begun to lead their own lives. Some have discovered the secrets of the Gates and have decided that it would be best if all the species and creatures lived together.
Mixed Breeds: Children with parents who were from different Realms. Sometimes the outcome is strange while sometimes the child will just like one of the parents and will get none of the others' genes. Mixed breeds are sometimes cast out into the wilderness and many were taken in by the Caretakers and put in their own Realm with other Mixed Breeds.
